Social Media Scheduling SOP
Use the Master Editorial Sheet to go through each client. Open their editorial and go to today’s caption and start scheduling.
- Try to schedule posts at least one day ahead of schedule
- Only schedule a post once it’s approved (the caption will have “approved” marked if it is ready)
- Do not post if a post is not approved for the next day. Instead, make a note for the Social Media Coordinator to follow up on.
- Use Sprout, Meta Business Suite, or manually (LinkedIn specifically) to schedule a post. Some videos below show you how to post on each platform.
- Do not use hashtags in GMB posts. GMB does not support reels/videos. If the post does not have a still image option, do not post on GMB.
- X/Twitter has a word limit for captions, so if the caption is too long, make a note for the Social Media Coordinator.
