How To - Setup DJD Email

This document should help you through: setting up your DJD email, linking your DJD and SCAD emails and inputting your DJD signature.

 

Setting up your DJD Email

  • You will receive an email to your SCAD gmail account asking you to sign in to the following website and access your DJD email for the first time.
  • Once you have signed in and reset your DJD password, you can now use your email through webmail, and should be receiving all the same emails forwarded to your SCAD gmail.
  • If you ever need to reset your password, use the password reset and reach out to Marcia- she will help you.

 

Linking your DJD Email

  • Once you have the DJD email linked to your SCAD email, you will be able to send emails on your gmail account using “From: name@djdgolden.com”.
  • Go to your gmail settings page and click “Accounts”.
  • Under “Send mail as:” click “add another email address”.
  • Fill out your full name and use the DJD email address. Check yes to “Treat as an alias”.
  • Click Next Step.
  • Copy/paste to fill out the STMP server: smtpauth.hosting.earthlink.net
  • Use the drop down box to click Port 465.
  • Username: your DJD email address.
  • Password: the password you set when you signed in to your email.
  • Click “Secured connection using SSL (recommended)”.
  • Click Save Changes.

If you have issues, check you put the right STMP server down and you used the right password.

If you still have issues, reach out to your supervisor for help.

 

Inputting your DJD Signature

  • Go to your gmail settings page and click “General”
  • Scroll down to “Signature” and create a new one. You can call it “DJD” or “DJD Signature” for easy reference.
  • In the box to the right, copy and paste the information below:

  • Click “Save Changes” at the bottom of the settings page.Image removed.
  • To test: go back to your email inbox and compose a new message.
  • Click this icon to toggle your signatures 
  • You should be able to use your new signature now!
