Slack SOP

  • Use channels to organize conversations. Channels are like chat rooms that are dedicated to specific topics. This can help to keep conversations organized and prevent information from getting lost.
  • Set up direct messages with your team members. Direct messages are a great way to have one-on-one conversations with your team members.
    • Make sure Alex and the Project Manager(s) are included in conversations for visibility- unless the information is private or personal.
    • There is a huddle option for quick conversations. It allows you to share your screen or turn on/off your camera
  • Use the @ symbol to notify team members. If you need to get the attention of a specific team member, you can use the @ symbol to notify them.
  • Use “/giphy” to post a gif of your choosing. An example would be “/giphy cats” or “/giphy happy birthday”
  • Use emojis to add personality to your messages. Emojis can be a fun way to add personality to your messages and make your conversations more engaging.
